Dance Current - Call for Contributors 

As part of our efforts to respectfully represent the breadth of dance forms practised in Canada, The Dance Current (TDC) is seeking dance artists with writing experience to review and illuminate dances and dance forms that are underserved or marginalized by traditional discourse.

Gallery 1313 is a not-for-profit, charitable artist-run centre located in the Parkdale neighbourhood of downtown Toronto.

Gallery Ring 

Gallery Ring is an online space devoted to the celebration and promotion of art. It was formed to create opportunities for artists, from emerging to established, to showcase their work on an international platform, to win awards and to build their curriculum vitae. Focusing on positive, peaceful and spiritual expression, Gallery Ring encourages pushing boundaries for continued, maximum artistic growth and exploration. Gallery Ring conducts monthly, themed juried exhibitions and selected art works are displayed in an online show. Winners are highlighted and featured with their own special digital award page, ideal for use on their social media, website and artist's portfolio. They will also receive digital award certificates for their records. The exhibition and winners are archived to serve as a future reference and link for the artists and their art work will be showcased and preserved on Gallery Ring's official Instagram page.

Artist Opportunities for Youth - Little Sister COllective

little sister is a grassroots, youth-led, youth-focused artist resource centre. we are youth (29 and under), queer, not queer, racialized, living in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, artists, and working class, amongst other things. we operate using a grassroots, peer-led, for us by us organizational model and we aim to prioritize the specific needs of our communities. we have run the community-based open mic series hummingbird since 2015, providing 40+ open mic nights for emerging youth artists in the Regent Park community and Toronto/GTA at large. In 2018 we decided to focus on researching the experiences of young racialized 2SLGBTQ+ artists in Toronto, and later published our findings in the 2020 report “It Feels Like Having a Sugar Daddy. But like in the Worst Way: Thoughts from Racialized 2SLGBTQ+ Youth Artists in the Toronto Arts Scene.”

The Mallory Gilbert Leadership Award annually celebrates and recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding administrative or managerial leadership within the Canadian theatre community. The award also includes a protégé, chosen by the Award winner, underlining the importance of skills and knowledge transmission in leadership building.
