Grant Recipients

Information for grant recipients and lists of who we’ve funded through the years

Submit Photos

Help us raise the profile of the arts in Toronto!

We’re seeking photos from Toronto Arts Council grant recipients to use in our print materials, e-communications, on our website and social media accounts. If you have dynamic, engaging photographs that showcase your Council-funded project, program, and/or initiative, please send them our way!

By showcasing photos of grant recipients, we’re able to highlight the depth of arts activity taking place in the city and amplify the incredible work that Toronto Arts Council supports.

We encourage artists and arts organizations working in all disciplines to share photos with us.

Here’s how:

1. Please fill out this photo release form. Include photo credits in the photo/video file name.

2. Send your high-resolution photos (of at least 300 pixels) and the photo release form to selina@torontoarts.org via email, WeTransfer (1-3 month expiry link preferred) or Google Drive (public link).

3. Please copy and paste the photo descriptions and photo credits in the body of the email as well.

Have videos? Awesome! Please send them our way as well for use on digital or social media.

Logo Downloads

Toronto Arts Council (TAC) requires that all grant recipients include visual acknowledgement of the Council’s support in all promotional materials, advertising and programs of performances or works related to the grant. Regarding acknowledgement of funding, the TAC logo should be used.

Specifications for the size and placement of the TAC logo should be commensurate with that of other donors or sponsors who have provided similar financial support.

The recipient may also use the phrase: “produced with the support of the City of Toronto through Toronto Arts Council.”

Use the hashtag #poweredbyTAC over social media when promoting your Toronto Arts Council supported project.

Note that we’ve changed our logo in 2025! Grant recipients should download our new logo and use it in their upcoming materials.

Reporting on your grant

Project grants

Grant recipients are required to file an artistic and financial report at the end of the project. The due date for the final report will be included in the grant notification letter.

If you need to request an extension on your project report, please contact you Grant Program Manager or one of our grant support staff:

Caitlin Loney, Administrator, Grants Support
caitlin[at]torontoartscouncil[dot]org

Joyce To, Administrator, Grants & Outreach
joyce[at]torontoartscouncil[dot]org

Final reports are submitted through TAC Grants Online. If you applied before 2015, please contact Caitlin Loney (caitlin[at]torontoartscouncil[dot]org) for a copy of the appropriate form, specifying whether the grant was to an individual artist or to an organization/collective.

Operating grants

Organizations that received a Multi-Year Operating Grant from Toronto Arts Council are required to submit a Mid-Cycle Report in the second and third year of the funding cycle. Release of grants in years two and three is contingent upon receipt of the Mid-Cycle Report.

Mid-Cycle Report Forms are made available through Toronto Arts Council’s online grants management system in December for multi-year reporting cycles in the following year.

Organizations can enter data online in CADAC at any time.

The deadlines for Mid-Cycle Reports (Year 2 & 3) and Multi-Year Operating Grants (Year 1) are listed on the Grant calendar page.

reference documents for grant applicants and recipients

Grant applicants and recipients should become familiar with several City of Toronto policy documents on hate activity, human rights and harassment, political activities as well as a glossary of access and equity terms. Here you will also find a Toronto Arts Council policy template on anti-racism, access and equity.
