The winners of the 2013 Toronto Arts Foundation Awards, celebrating individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to Toronto’s vibrant artistic and cultural life, were announced today in the presence of such VIPs as Martha Burns, Eric Peterson and R.H. Thomson. Award presentations were made at the Mayor's Lunch held at the Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto.

June 28, 2011 - Toronto Arts Foundation announced today that the Board of Directors has appointed Susan Crocker as Chair. Ms. Crocker succeeds Diana Bennett who has held the position of Chair since 2005.

January 28, 2011- "Toronto's cultural sector employs nearly 133,000 people and annually generates $9 billion in GDP,” Councillor Thompson said. “Between 1991 and 2007, creative occupations grew at more than twice the rate of the general labour force. Given the changes that have occurred in the economy, Toronto's city governance philosophy and the city's cultural sector since 2003, it is time to take a fresh look at our Culture Plan.”
