Grant Information Session

Writers Program Information Session

Are you a Toronto-based literary artist who tells stories through fiction, poetry, nonfiction, spoken-word, or another oral tradition? This grant is for you!

Toronto Arts Council’s (TAC) Writers Program supports the creation of new literary works or works-in-progress in the genres of fiction (including novels, short stories, children’s literature, graphic novels, etc.), literary non-fiction, poetry and oral traditions such as storytelling, dub, rap and spoken-word. This program provides two levels of support for writers: Writers in early stages of their career ($5k), and Writers with an established Writing Career ($10k).

During this session, you will learn all about the grant: eligibility requirements, grant writing tips, and an overview of what the application will look like. The session will conclude with an open Q&A.

This information session is free to attend and is for anyone interested in applying to the program. ASL interpretation will be provided.
